Jayse has practised primarily in criminal defence since graduating from UBC Law in 2011. He articled under Kenneth R. Beatch, veteran counsel in Abbotsford, whose practice at the time largely surrounded the complicated area of residential ‘grow op’ warrant challenges.
Articling for Mr. Beatch, Jayse learned the intricacies of challenging police action and cross-examination. Over the next nine years, Jayse continued to share space and experience with his mentor, acting as co-counsel on serious matters including large drug-related cases, an overdose manslaughter allegation, and multiple murders.
Over the last decade, Jayse has formed his own successful practice. He accepts both private and Legal Aid clients, and takes on cases both large and small.
